Chad Da Don opens up about going solo

Johannesburg - Once the darling of Cassper Nyovest's label, Chad Da Don has fallen from the Family Tree and is now flying solo!

It's been a minute since Mzansi last heard from Chad Da Don, but the former Family Tree artist is back with a new track, EFT, that is blazing up the charts. The track is produced by Grammy award-winning producer, Brian Soko.

The Juice spoke to Chad recently to find out why he decided to go solo.

On why he left the label, Chad insists that there was no drama. "Nothing happened. I just realised that I've grown so much and decided to do my own thing. You get to a point where you just have to break away and do your own thing," he tells us.

Chad reveals that the label, headed by Cassper Nyovest, had certain ideas for him which he didn't agree with, but says he has no beef with Cassper or his team.

"Nothing specific happened. I just realised that it's my career and I have to take it into my own hands," he says. "Labels aren't always the best thing."

And, with EFT doing so well, we wonder if Cassper will ask him to help #fillUpTheDome?

He can pay him via EFT...
