Channel O is closing.... well kinda

If you are a fan of Channel O outside of South Africa, sit down. We have some bad news for you.

Channel O's parent company, M-Net this week announced that the popular music channel will be shutting down it's transmission of Channel O Africa at the end of the month (31 of March 2015).

In a statement M-Net says that it will instead focus on providing regional music channels for each of its African territories.

But here's the bad news for SA fans: There's a very real chance that unless they change the format of the Channel O African Video Music Awards, the awards will now be no more. Sads.
