Connie Ferguson IS joining the new Generations!

Yup it’s true… Connie Ferguson has confirmed that she’ll be returning to star in the revamped Generations in December.

This comes after months of speculation over which A-list actors will be joining Mfundi Vundla’s rebooted version of the hit soapie.

Connie confirmed the great news during an exclusive interview with Drum magazine. The actress explained that she’s excited to be returning to the small screen.

Connie, who played Karabo on the show, told the mag that she loves the creative process and, just like she was there at the birth of SA’s first black soapie 20 years ago, she’s excited about being a part of the renovated version.

“Renovating can be exciting and I’m looking forward to being part of the material for the brand’s new structure which will most likely outlive all of us,” she said.

She told the mag that every time she thought of the soapie (which helped launch her career) ending on such a horrible note, she felt compelled to help.

Welcome back, Connie!
