Could Itu Khune follow in Majoro's footsteps?

While there's major confusion about where Itumeleng Khune might be headed, it seems a move to Orlando Pirates might not be impossible.

Although Khune has been with Kaizer Chiefs for years, there's rumours that he might be moving to rival team, Pirates. But Chiefs Stuart Baxter coach has poured cold water on the rumours. He recently told Daily that they would be meeting with him within the next week to confirm details of a new deal.

But would it really be a surprise if the Chiefs goalie moved to Pirates? Nope, not to us at least. The Itu saga somehow reminds us of the whole Lehlohonolo Majoro situation. As soon as the soccer player's contract with Chiefs expired, he was immediately rumoured to be joining the Bucs.

But did the masses believe it at the time? No. But what happened? Yep, Majoro is indeed with Orlando Pirates right now. We're not saying that that's exactly what's going to happen with Itu. We're just saying that where there's smoke, there's definitely fire.

And, it seems like Chiefs is doing just fine without Itu. Look at the amazing work that Brilliant Khuzwayo is doing as a goalie. Oh, and on the other hand, Pirates kinda seems to be struggling since the death of Senzo Meyiwa.
