Johannesburg- It seems like the nasty twar with AKA on Sunday has inspired DJ Black Coffee to do more to uplift musicians in the country. (Find that story here)
Shortly after the heated argument on the social media platform, where AKA told the house legend to "stay in his lane" and accused him of not "laying a single brick in the hip hop industry", Black Coffee revealed that he would be producing a hip-hop track and all proceeds would go to charity. But it seems after giving the matter a little more thought, Black Coffee has been inspired to do more.
The internationally renowned DJ has revealed that instead of a single track, he will be turning this into an annual project called Music is the Answer.
Black Coffee plans to use three unsigned artists with one established artist for the project, in an attempt to create a platform for them.
He also plans to get help from a record label to shoot and release a music video for the artists.
"The purpose here is to create a platform for everyone involved, this is a 'for us by us' project," Black Coffee wrote on social media.
He added that even though he's in the middle of an international tour, he can't contain the excitement he feels over this project
"I can't help the excitement I have for this project. This will change lives. Maybe we will shoot the whole process and take it to a TV station," he added.
Here's Black Coffee's full plan...
Atleast after all that shade there's some positivity to look forward to right?
