DJ Cleo's dad sets the record straight

Just weeks after shocking reports surfaced, DJ Cleo's dad seems to be changing his tune.

It was previously reported that the music producer had been neglecting his disabled father, Samuel Monyepao.

However, Drum magazine visited Samuel, who now wants to set the record straight. Samuel told the magazine that the newspapers got it all wrong.

When asked about his relationship with the DJ, Samuel explained that all was well between him and his son. "I love Cleo and I understand that he can't be in Limpopo more often because of his work," he said.

Samuel added that DJ Cleo doesn't always tell him when he's going to visit, but just pitches up. "He leaves me with  R5000 or more," he added.

The wheel-chair bound man was adamant that DJ Cleo wasn't neglecting him.  DJ Cleo could not be reached for comment.

Glad that's cleared up!
