DJ Sabby has a secret single with Flabba

Johannesburg – Yfm’s DJ Sabby has a secret. Just weeks prior to Flabba’s death, Sabby was working on a new track with the Skwatta Kamp legend.

Flabba and Sabby had worked together on one of Sabby’s first singles which was released last year, but now Sabby reveals that he was working on a track with Flabba prior to the Skwatta Kamp member’s death.

Sabby says he will soon release the track featuring the slain muso and predicts it will be big – like, Caracara big.

“I think South Africa is going to be friggin amazed at the single. People will no doubt fall in love with the track. No one knew that we were working on something new,” Sabby tells us.

“It is a very soft song and while we were recording it Flabba would often say ‘you guys are really challenging me. You guys are making me into a soft rapper’ but the bars he dropped are amazing and although we didn't finish the song, we will make it work,” he adds.

Sabby wasn't able to attend Flabba's memorial it was a surreal experience to attend Flabba’s funeral and pay his last respects.

“One thing that will always stand out for me was that I was always starstruck by him, but I never got to show it. When you work with someone so big, you can't contain yourself. You just try and take it all in,” Sabby observes.

“The one thing you couldn't escape from was the fact that he was always joking around and making fun of life. He lived his life to the fullest and was working on a big comeback this year,” he adds.

“This was the year of Flabba but unfortunately he will never get to see it”.
