DJ Sbu to attend speeding counselling sessions

Dj Sbu has reportedly agreed to go for counselling after a number of reckless driving incidents.

According to Sunday Sun, the Metro FM DJ and TV presenter reached an agreement with the prosecutor to go for counselling so he doesn't end up with a criminal record.

He reportedly appeared in the Brooklyn Magistrate's Court last week on a reckless driving charge after he was caught driving at 176km/h in a 120km/h zone on the N1 north.

Tshwane Metro Police spokesman, Senior Superintendent Isaac Mahamba, confirmed to Sunday Sun that the DJ would would attend a programme that was agreed to with the prosecutor.

Isaac told the paper: "Since it was not the first time he was caught speeding, it was agreed that the case would be postponed to next year while he attends the full programme of counselling. If he doesn’t complete the programme, the case will continue in January and if found guilty he’ll have a criminal record."

Sbu confirmed to the paper that he will be attending speeding counselling sessions. He said: "The case will be finished provided I complete the sessions."
