Damon Kalvari blogs about "doing nothing" since leaving 5fm

Remember Damon Kalvari,  'assistant' to Thabo Modisane on Gareth Cliff's 5fm breakfast show? We often heard him putting his two cents in and chirping funny comments during the show. Well, Mr Kalvari has a blog, and has some funny things to say since he and the team left the station.

Damon recently wrote:

"I’m still in pajamas, and it’s 16H15. No, I’m not so bad. I took off my pajamas, at about 15H30, showered, brushed my teeth, and I’ve changed into a fresh pair of pajamas. You think you’ve had in tough in the last week, since @garethcliff  et al left the airwaves? I don’t know what to do with myself. My two Miniature Schnauzers, Rufus and Candice are looking at me, “What are you still doing here?” Our third Miniature Schnauzer, Mika is away nursing her new puppies at the breeder.  Mika is bit of a bitch, and is the more judgemental of my three furry children. My human child Alexa, has now seen me at my worst. Alexa will be two years old, on the 21st of this month. I’m confident Alexa will grow into a warm, empathetic woman one day. Instead of grabbing her blanket, and saying, “My blankie," she hugged me last night, and said, “My daddy." I think she senses, I’m not enjoying this waiting."

Okay, so that was pretty random but quite funny. We think Damon should just enjoy his time off, since he'll be joining Gareth on his new venture on 1 May.

Damon's Twitter profile reads "Assistant to somebody soon."
