Darren Scott positive after 'good news' from doctors

Johannesburg- Darren Scott is in good spirits after doctors informed him that all melanoma from his left lung has been removed.

It's been one week since the radio personality was admitted into hospital for an emergency procedure, after a biopsy revealed that he had melanoma in his upper left lobe.

A day after the procedure Darren took to Facebook where he thanked fans for all the support, and was even able to watch the Boks game. (Read that story here

Darren once again returned to Facebook on Thursday afternoon, where he revealed that he could be released from ICU over the next few days, and that he misses his sons terribly.

"Selfie from the belly of the beast!!! Hi Gang! Still in CCU but really felling good! Doc came back with the good news that they've got whatever melanoma and potentially infected nodes in the excised lobe of my lung, and prognosis is good. Just desperately missing my boys (they don't alo the little guys into any ICU for obv reasons)... I haven't seen them for a week now! One drain out today which means last one to go before I can move out of ICU! Thank you again for all your messages which keep me upbeat," Darren wrote.
