Johannesburg - The wife of Hot FM radio personality Darren Scott, has opened up about her husband's renewed cancer scare, confirming that he will be undergoing surgery on Thursday.

In a post on her Facebook page, Sarah -Kate Scott, who was crowned Mrs South Africa last year, admitted that details around her husband's condition are still not clear.

"Thumbs up for daddy. I have been hesitant to write anything until I know all of the information, but Darren is checking into hospital for a serious operation tomorrow. We will get the results of biopsy today which will determine the type of surgery. Please keep him in your prayers and we will keep you updated as we find out more information. Thank you to everyone for your love and support: it is truly appreciated. #Warriors"

Darren revealed the news on his social media accounts on Tuesday, maintaining a lighthearted attitude towards his health.

"See it as: I am Arsenal, The cancer is Spurs. And Arsenal NEVER lose to Spurs. (Would've used a sharks analogy but this season... I might be in trouble!) Your thoughts and prayers are much appreciated," he wrote on his Facebook page.

Meanwhile, social media has been flooded with well-wishes for the couple, as Darren fight's cancer for a second time. In 2012, he was diagnosed with advanced skin cancer.
