Joburg -You would think, after all that international success, that singer/songwriter LeAnne Dlamini would have designers flocking to dress her- instead they have left her destitute in her time of need.
LeAnne is looking for an outfit for the SA Music Awards (SAMA) later this month and so approached designers to dress her for the glitzy event. Problem is the designers all refused, even though LeeAnne has mentioned them in articles.
The reason for the rejection? LeAnne is "not a celebrity and not in the media"
"Yes you're right, I'm not a celebrity & it will never be the reason I do what I do or my purpose for being in this industry," she wrote on Instagram after the incident.
"My destiny is bigger than that. Thank you for the gentle reminder today even after I've mentioned you guys in articles & I've never been dressed by you. I really admired you guys & still think your work is brilliant! Pity you couldn't see past whatever clouds your vision," she added.
Don't worry, LeAnne, if you don’t come right for the SAMA's, you can always borrow something from our wardrobe.
