Fans might never get to hear Arthur Mafokate and Kelly Khumalo's song, Nguwe Lo.
Sunday Sun reported that Universal Music allegedly won't give its blessing to the song. Universal bosses allegedly don't like the idea of Kelly teaming up with Arthur.
Arthur told the paper: "We recorded the song and even took pictures to go with the marketing of the single. But then I got the shock of my life when I heard that Universal Music won’t release the song. I’m saddened by the news."
He reportedly claimed that a third force is trying to sabotage the release and his collaboration with Kelly. "I really don’t know what’s going on. At the time we recorded the song, Kelly wasn’t signed to anyone. She told me she was independent. All that was left for us was to shoot a music video for the song," he said.
Sunday Sun asked Kelly if she had signed with Universal but she refused to comment.
Given Ngwenya, label head at Universal Music, told the paper that he won’t comment on anything concerning Kelly and Arthur’s song.
"I don’t want to be involved in this. I would actually like to keep out of it completely, unless you tell me who told you that Universal has blocked the release of a song," he said.
