Did you know Simba almost ran in the Olympics?!

Forget running Jozi, Simba nearly ran for South Africa - as an Olympic track runner!

The TV personality made the revelation on Tuesday morning when he took to Instagram to post a picture of his old running shoes next to the caption: "When I was 18 I ran the 100m in 10.2 seconds in these spikes. I just missed qualifying for the Beijing Olympics. #thosewerethedays"

We know that he's always challenging other celebs to foot races but we never imagined that it was because he was once running fast enough to almost get into the Olympics.

Thank goodness we never said yes to his challenge -we would have been destroyed!
