Dozi is a Zulu at heart and wants to give up Afrikaans

We know that Afrikaans rapper Jack Parow can sing in Zulu, but we never figured that Afrikaans sokkie-singer Dozi might be willing to do the same.

Dozi told Rapport that he has decided to give up on Afrikaans music so that he can release some music in 'his other tongue' Zulu.

Talking about plans to release a new Zulu CD, Dozi said that it would not be only aimed at his black fans but "also for his white fans to enjoy."

This is not a new idea for Dozi, who told the paper that he always wanted to sing in Zulu.

"I wanted to sing in Zulu from the beginning but my former record label told me to sing in Afrikaans," he said. "My music is for everyone," he added.

And apparently his legions of fans are cool with it.

"My white fans often ask me to sing Zulu songs and I have lots of black fans" he said.

We can't wait to hear the curly haired singer bust out some eKasi tunes!
