Ma Winnie's blow-out party was allegedly dampened by controversial comments made by the Deputy Minister of Defence and Military Veterans.
According to reports, the party was turned into a mud-slinging battle between Kebby Maphatsoe and political analyst Professor Shadrack Gutto.
For the second time in two weeks Kebby apparently launched an attack on the analyst. It has been labelled a 'Xenophobic attack.'
Kebby accused the professor of attacking the ruling party and questioned why he could not go back to Zimbabwe.
"I repeat foreign nationals living in this country...by the way I'm not xenophobic. Shadrack Gutto has citizenship of this country but continues to attack the ANC. He must explain why he can't go back to Zimbabwe," said Kebby.
Shadrack has since hit back saying that he's actually orginally from Kenya and didn't have citizenship in Zimbabwe, and wanted the statements published so that the public can know about the comments.
Despite this awkward incident, Ma Winnie had a great birthday celebrating with people from Soweto.
