Emzeni Wezinsizwa's Bafana Mlangeni has died

Johannesburg - Emzini Wezinsizwa actor Bafana Mlangeni has died.

Bafana, who played a drunk on the SABC 1 sitcom, passed away in a Soweto hospital on Saturday.

His wife Maki Maleka told the Daily Sun her husband was suffering from diabetes and was admitted last month after falling sick during a shoot in Durban. He was discharged 2 weeks ago, but was rushing back on Saturday. He passed away a few hours later.

"I feel like this is a bad dream and I’m still going to wake up and see my husband beside me. I can’t imagine life without him. It’s going to be difficult to live without him," Maki told the paper. 

He is survived by five children and his wife.

His funeral is set to be held this Saturday at the Dobsonville Community Hall in Soweto.

The SABC meanwhile say it is not able to comment as the news as not been confirmed.
