Exclusive: Flabba's friends dismiss baby mama claims

Johannesburg - Flabba Habedi's inner circle of friends have come out strongly against claims made by a Vosloorus woman, who says she is carrying his child.

The Daily Sun today reported that Paballo Mohale claims to be eight months pregnant with the late hip hop star's child.

In an interview with the paper, Paballo says she only found out she was pregnant with his child after he died.

Flabba's girlfriend, Sindisiwe Manqele is currently standing trial after being accused of murdering him.

Flabba died in March after being stabbed in the chest. Sindisiwe, who has been on the stand for two days now, has detailed how she acted in self-defence after she claims Flabba attacked her.

Paballo has told the paper that she was dating Flabba on and off since February last year, insisting she was not with anybody else during this time.

But it's a claim that his friends are calling sensational and a 'complete lie.' Speaking to The Juice on condition of anonymity, his inner circle say the pregnancy claims are ludicrous. "We are all very close and Flabba told us everything. He was very open about his issues and his relationships and his flaws. He has never once mentioned this woman. Not one single time."

They go on to add that the simple logistics of the so-called romance also don't make sense. "She says she is from Vosloorus. He lives in Alex. That's a very far way to travel for over a year in a 'secret' relationship. We all know each other really well and it's a joke. She's trying to capitalise on the situation and is taking advantage of a dead man, a man who can't speak the truth."

Paballo says she has told the family about her pregnancy, but will leave it up to them to decide whether or not to accept herself and her child. "If she had told the family, we would know about it. We haven't heard a thing. We're with the family all the time. It was his child's birthday last week and this certainly didn't come up."
