Murder-accused Sindisiwe Manqele has been granted bail for R10 000.
The magistrate ruled in favour of releasing the accused on the grounds that she is a first time offender, she has stated that she will stand trial, remain in SA and not interfere with witnesses.
"There have been no reports that Manqele harmed herself after first incident where she cut herself. There's also been no indication at this stage that Manqele attempted to interfere with witnesses," the magistrate said in his ruling.
The magistrate added that it's normal for people to get emotional after such an incident. "Manqele's injuries are too extensive to all be self inflicted."
Flabba's family members bowed their heads in shock and disbelief.
The case has been postponed to 13 May.
