Fired Generations' cast allegedly planning a new soapie

Word on the street is that former Generations' stars are planning to launch their own series.

This is according to Sunday World, who are reporting that the covert operation is being spearheaded by veteran actors Sophie Ndaba and Winnie Ntshaba.

The paper claims it was tipped off by a member of the production team who did want to be named. The report also alleges that power couple and multimillionaires Sbu and Shauwn Mpisane are funding this new series.

However Shauwn denied these claims. "Why would I fund a soapie? I was not approached to fund any soapie and its not my territory," she said.

When called for comment, Sophie also denied any knowledge of a new soapie.
