Five things 2014 taught us about: Boity

2014 will be a year of memories for local actress and presenter Boity Thulo. This is what we learnt about Boity this year.

She’s a jet setter

In 2014, Boity travelled to Brazil and New York. She took loads of snaps on her trips, including a visit to Madame Tussauds where she chilled with (a plastic) Beyoncé, Rihanna, Diddy, Alicia Keys and more

Apparently She’s a bit of a diva …but with a big heart

The Sowetan this year claimed she never returned a dress she wore two years ago. But despite these claims, she didn’t really show much diva tendencies, even when Rebecca Malope wore the same dress as her to the SAMAs. In fact, she’s so kind hearted she even dedicated her time to helping kids live their dreams on Reality Check.

She’s a trend starter

In August Boity sent the Internet into mini-shock when she appeared in public, and on her Instagram, with a new blonde 'do. It was revolutionary and many other celebs would follow suit in the weeks after. We loved it!

Yoh! The girl can dance

Boity was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing in the middle of the year. She didn’t go as far as she’d hoped, but the girl sure knew how to move across a dance floor.

She loves to work out!

If there’s one thing that epitomises Boity, maybe even more than her incredible good looks, is her hot bod! It had us drooling on the cover of Marie Claire at the start of the year, but lucky for us Boity gave us near weekly reminders of how fit she is with her workout pics.

There’s nothing going on between her and Cassper Nyovest

Back in the day, Boity and Cassper used to date. But that was then and this is now! Boity spent most of 2014 denying that anything was going on between her and Cassper. Her favourite line was that they were just friends and Cassper knew where he stood with her, even if a picture or two of the pair cuddling made us think otherwise.
