Footballer in bail money scam

Orlando Pirates midfielder Thandani Ntshumayelo has some serious problems!  A Pretoria woman, claiming to be his girlfriend, says she bailed him out and now she wants her money!

Talking to Sunday World the woman, Lorretta Bodiba, says that she got a call from Thandani asking her to send him R1 000 so that he could bail himself out of jail.

But only moments after sending him the money she found out that he was not at the police station but instead at training. She says she had been conned and now wants her money back.

According to the woman, Thandani promised to pay her back but hasn't done so yet. Thandani has denied the claims saying that he doesn't know the woman.

"How do I ask money from someone that I don't even know?" he says. "I'm well aware of a number of soccer babes who use this kind of tactic to get soccer players' attention," he added.

He says he got a text from the woman but believed that she was scamming him.

Question is: who's scamming who?
