Gail's debut on the SABC1 soapie was received with nothing but love from viewers. It wasn't surprising that shortly after Generations started, Gail started trending on Twitter.

Judging from the Twitter frenzy on Thursday night, Gail's character, Sarah is already a hit among viewers.

During an interview with MoFlava and Pearl Thusi on Metro Fm, Gail explained that she has always been attracted to "challenging characters."

"I have an appetite for challenging characters. I am a very reserved person, so my acting allows me to tap into the feisty or saucy side to me. I tend to chose characters that I can never be in real life," she explained.

Gail added that if you're a Generations fan, you can look forward to a lot more sauciness and excitement from Sarah in the coming episodes.

ON BEING A MOM...

Gail and her hubby, Kabelo welcomed their little girl into the world just three months ago.

And, Gail says that having a family is something she's always dreamed of.

"I'm all about family and because I grew up in a very small family, I've always dreamed of having a big family," she added.

The gorg actress, who got back to the grind just two months after her baby was born, explained that the timing felt right and she wanted to get back to who she is.

It's no secret that motherhood is a life-changing experience, and for Gail the one thing it's taught her is to be less of a control freak.

"I'm a control freak, and the one thing motherhood has taught me that I'm not in control of everything. I've learnt to just let go."
