Johannesburg - It's official! Jonathan has left the building.
Actor J.T Medupe, who plays the role of Jonathan Motene on the popular soapie, finished shooting his final scenes this week, and is now no longer part of the Generations:TheLegacy family.
Generations actress, Letoya Makhene, took to Instagram this week to say her farewells to JT, writing in a post: The cast of Generations: The Legacy said our goodbyes to our very own J.T Medupe. Knowing you has been truly special. Will miss seeing you around set...but the bond we formed will continue to grow! See you later, buddy."
Generations:TheLegacy have confirmed to The Juice that J.T has left the show, but that fans will still be able to see him on their screens for the next 10 weeks.
Spokesperson, Gaaratwe Mokhethi, says that J.T's departure had nothing to do with his acting ability but is part of a wider change in storyline at the soapie.
Fans have taken to social media to show concern at the recent mass exodus of talent at the soapie, with several actors leaving the show in recent weeks.
Gaaratwe says new talent will be brought into the show over the next few months, and will mostly fill new roles as family members to the returning of Jack Mabaso.
