Generations viewership plummets!

Newswires have been set abuzz by reports that the SABC's hit soapie, Generations: The Legacy is loosing viewers at an alarming speed.

This is according to an entertainment blog, TV with Thinus, which revealed the news on this morning. The shocking statistics contradicts the SABC's proud announcement that the first episode raked in a whooping 10 million viewers.

It's been reported that the soapie, in fact, attracted only 7.5 million viewers on Monday, dropped to 6.5 million on Tuesday, decreased to a further 6.1 million on Wednesday, fell to 5.4 million on Thursday and closed off the week on a shocking 4.1 million viewers on Friday.

That's a total loss of 5.9 million viewers in just one week.

Since the airing of the revamped soapie, viewers have taken to social media to voice their disappointment in the soapie. However, SABC spokesman Kaizer Kganyago urged viewers to give it a chance.

It seems that Mfundi Vundla and the new cast are failing to impress?
