Gorgeous Amanda shares how she's an "Ugly Duckling" turned Swan

Amanda du-Pont reckons she was once an ugly duckling who has become a swan.

It's exactly how the popular childhood fairy tale goes  - the girl who was not attractive and maybe sometimes teased for her looks at school, later blossoms and becomes really beautiful.

Amanda, who won the title of Hottest Chic of the Year at last week's Feather Awards, had earlier mentioned how she was an unattractive teenager and she took to Instagram this last weekend to provide proof.

She shared a picture of herself as a slightly chubby but, let's be honest,  healthy looking school girl next to the caption "My ugly duckling story....this is why the hottest chic award means so much to me #transformation #BeABetterYou".

So there's living proof that even the most normal of looking school girls can one day become the hottest chic in Mzansi!
