Gospel singer beaten to a pulp

Well-known Gospel singer Sechaba Pali was allegedly beaten by municipal guards in Welkom.

Sunday World is reporting that the singer was apparently due to collect more than R120 000 from the municipality for about six appearance shows the municipality contracted him for.

Its believed that after months of being given the run-around, Sechaba was told to fetch his cheque from the MEC's officer.

However, Sechaba claims that when he got to the buildings, he waited for more than an hour, and was then told he needed to produce an invoice.

Apparently the singer was attacked by security guards, when he tried to leave the building.

"They kicked and punched me several times even when I was lying on the ground begging them to stop," he told the paper.

The municipality has apparently launched an investigation into the matter.

Yikes!
