Here's why it took Zizo Beda so long to join radio

Johannesburg - She has quickly become the darling of radio, with many wondering why she didn't take a gig behind the mic earlier. But Zizo Beda says it was all in God's plan.

Opening up about her radio career so far, Zizo says she is thankful for the lessons she has learnt at Umhlobo Wenene FM.

"It (joining Umhlobo Wenene) has been one of the best decisions I have ever taken. Often I was asked when I would do radio- I wasn't ready for all those years. God's timing NEVER leads you wrong," she told fans on social media.

"Our industry is notoriously tough. You have to make strong decisions if you plans to have a meaningful career. Although I got lots of questions about why I didn't go mainstream, I never flinched because if you know anything about me you know that I am not conventional," she adds.

Zizo thanks fans for their support on her journey so far and promises them many more memories to share. 

"I have been so warmly accepted on this platform and GREATLY supported by our listeners," she say.
