Johannesburg - Oh, Hlubi Mboya is definitely in high spirits! Not only is she tying the knot in October, but she'll also be taking part in this year's 'Wings for Life World Run.'
The Juice caught up with the actress to find out how the wedding plans are going. "It's very exciting. But obviously, it's also stressful. Things are really expensive in this day and age," she said.
Adding that she's mostly looking forward to seeing family, who she has not seen in a while from the Eastern Cape and the Western Cape.
Furthermore, Hlubi plans to have a traditional Xhosa wedding as opposed to a Western ceremony. "I'm a Hlubi so I really feel most beautiful when I am truly in the space of my clan, my tribe and my people," she said.
And, what about her British husband? Well, not to worry because she says his family are just as keen to explore her culture in this one "elaborate affair".
And, as if planning a wedding isn't time-consuming enough, Hlubi will also be participating in 'Wings For Life World Run', a race that aims to raise funds for the Wings for Life Foundation and research into curing traumatic spinal cord injury.
"It's a sporting discipline which I love. However, I'm also a humanitarian," she explained.
We're rooting for you, Hlubi. Go get them!
