In case you missed it: Team Robbie wins Clash of the Choirs

After several weeks of gruelling choir battles, sweat and tears, Team Robbie were crowned the countries top new amateur choir last night in the spectacular finale to this year's Clash of the Choirs.

The choir hailing from KZN, and headed by music producer Robbie Malinga, beat out competition from Gauteng's Team Shugasmakx and Team Moneoa from Mpumalanga in Sunday's finale.

The show, which saw some of the finest voices in South Africa being unearthed, concluded with performances by some of South Africa’s top artists including Mandoza,Mxo, Ziyon, Zakes Bantwini and Donald.

Their celebrity choirmaster, Robbie Malinga was gracious in victory, tweeting shortly after the reveal "Thanx Mzansi for voting  #TeamRobbie love u a lot mcwaaaaaa "

Team Robbie took home a staggering  R750 000 prize, with R250 000 going to Ikhwezi Welfare Centre and R500 000 to the choir.

Clash of the Choirs SA season 2 originally saw seven Choirs from seven provinces compete for the title of the best choir in the land, under the guidance of seven celebrity Choirmasters; singer Moneoa, rapper HHP, rapper Shugasmakx, music producer Robbie Malinga, singer Simphewe Dana, singer Tshedi Mholo and producer Ziyon.
