After a grueling few months, Cape Town group, Four, was announced as the winners for the first ever X Factor SA.
The trio include Jethro Tait, David Evan Januari and Steven Lee Lewis. They beat dozens of hopefuls and walked away with a contract from Sony Music SA and R300 000 cash.
According to The Times, they hope to be SA's very own One Direction. Steven Lee told the paper: "I think the country's appetite for a boy band played a part in us winning. There is a space in the market and we definitely want to strike while there is this boy-band craze."
Four is expected to drop their first single, I do, this week.
