Interview: Lira's baby plans? Not yet!

Johannesburg – Lira’s baby plans? Not right now, thanks!

The Afro-pop star is normally reserved when it comes to talking about her private life, but in a rare interview with The Juice recently, Lira opened up about life at home and one day being a mommy.

"Some of the craziest rumours I’ve ever heard about myself are that I live with some guy in Soweto, that I’ve eloped, that I’ve had secret children," Lira tells us. "I guess they're not that crazy. It’s just that people often assume because you married, that you going to have children. But some people just have different ambitions," she adds.

She says fame has taught her not to take things personally and not listen to what others have to say about her. "As long as your mama knows the truth," she says

"My mama is probably my biggest fan," she tells us. "Actually, I feel like she’s on the borderline of showing off. She’s always been like that. She would often take my tests, not my report - my tests, to work with her to show all her friends.

"She says she wears me on her sleeve so that she can show me off to the world," Lira gushes.

So, when will Lira be a mama of her own?

"In the future, possibly, but my life is wonderful where it’s at," she tells us.

'My relationship with my husband is fantastic. Whatever the future holds, we’ll welcome it. At the moment we travel extensively and so it would be really difficult. But I’m content," she says

"If I die tomorrow, I know I have loved and in this moment I am as happy as a fiddle."
