The entertainment industry is still reeling after news that 16 cast members of popular soapie, Generations were yesterday fired.
The move came after months of salary negotiations that saw the SABC and actors at a stand still.
The 16 cast members, which include all the big names on the show, were told yesterday that they were fired from the show with immediate effect.
And while the actors' have released a statement, saying they are looking into their legal options, the question now is how will Generations continue without its core?
Well, according to the soapie, it's not really such a loss.
"There was a Generations before them and there will be a Generations after them," Mfundi Vundla said during an interview yesterday.
The original creator and producer of the hit soapie has lashed out at the actors, saying "their demands are unreasonable. Of the 20 highest paid actors in SA, 12 are on Generations."
What do you think?
Is this a rebirth or the end of Generations?
