Itu Khune: "I’m Mzansi’s number one goalie"

Itu says he is the footballer he is today because he was always focused on being a footballer and being the best.

“Today I’m Mzansi’s number one goalie because I’ve put in a lot of work. I learn from and respect other people,” Itu told The Daily Sun.

Itu told the paper that he was born to play football and the sport has always been an addiction he's had to feed, even if it got him into trouble.

“I grew up in Tshing in Ventersdorp, North West. While at Letshelemane Primary School I realised I had a talent for soccer. My brother and I used to get into a lot of trouble because we would skip classes and play soccer all day, " he remembers.

We wonder what he'll do when it's finally time to hang up his gloves. But for now, is Itu still our number one?
