Jason Goliath: "I have failed miserably in my life"

Jason Goliath is one of the funniest guys in Mzansi. But when The Juice caught up with the big man ahead of his Aweh Mzansi comedy tour, we discovered a deeper side of him.

"One thing people don't realise about me is that I have failed miserably in my life," he tells us.

"I ran businesses throughout my 20's and my last business, which I ran for 6 years, collapsed in spectacular fashion. The recession around 2008 initiated it and we were never able to recover," he recounts.

The funny guy says that even though his business life didn't work out, he now sees that everything happened the way it was supposed to. "At the time I wondered why it was happening to me. I was a good guy doing everything right. I followed all the rules and I still failed. I had lost everything. I was living at home with mom. I realise now that everything was perfect because it was preparing me to enter comedy. I always enjoyed comedy but I never though in my wildest dreams that I would be able to do and make a living out of comedy. This is what I was destined to do."
