Jason goes global: 'It's like my wedding day in comedy!'

Johannesburg - Funny guy Jason Goliath will be teaming up with controversial puppeteer Conrad Koch to take over Canada!

The pair will performing several shows at the internationally acclaimed Just For Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival later this month.

"I'm ridiculously excited. It's like my wedding day in comedy, the birth of a child- for me it's that big!" Jason tells The Juice in a chat recently.

"I've never been to North America or Canada before, so I'm excited to see all of my favorite comedians live! I'm going to see Dave Chappelle live," he squeals.

He says fans can expect a lot of jokes based on his everyday life and experiences. Oh, and a lot of fat jokes!

With Trevor Noah making waves in the US (see why HERE) and Loyiso Gola scoring a pretty neat gig in Australia (Check out what he's doing there HERE) Jason and Conrad are just carrying on a tradition of SA comedians taking over the planet.

Something, Jason tells us, is mostly down to Trevor Noah's recent gig as Daily Show Host

"We are grateful to Trevor (Noah) for putting SA comedy on the map. I think since he's broken through, there are a lot more people asking whether there are any other funny comedians in South Africa. I feel like we may have been the underdogs in the comedy world, but Trevor Noah has definitely made sure we are a first team candidate," Jason says.

And when he's done in the land of maple syrup and Drake, Jason promises to blow us all away when he joins a host of comedians on a TV comedy skit show set for release in November on the SABC .
