Johnny Apple opens up about losing two fingers

Johannesburg - Singer and songwriter Johnny Apple is loving every moment of being in the entertainment industry.

Johnny, who walked away as the winner of SA's Got Talent back in 2013, recently celebrated his 18th birthday and is living his dream as a singer.

During a recent interview with Arye Kellman on Cliffcentral.com, Johnny revealed that fans can look forward to his second album, which he plans to release early next year.

Johnny also got the opportunity to open for One Direction during the band's tour to the country in February, which he says was so much fun.

"I did about three shows with them and the first one was the most nerve-wracking because I didn't know what to expect, but the crowd was amazing. It was so much fun to open for them," he added.

For the first time ever, Johnny also opened up about an accident he had as child, which saw him lose two fingers on his right hand.

"I was in a super tube, my hand got stuck in a gap and two of my fingers were ripped off. It was a hectic experience and it's something that I never really talk about. I've always hid it in pictures," he explained.

Johnny added that for the longest time he's always been quite insecure about it, but over the past two years he's made peace with those insecurities.

"This is actually the first time that my fans are hearing about this because I've always been really insecure about it," Johnny added.
