Jon Savage is making a rock flick

Local muso and radio personality, Jon Savage, wants to make a film about the South African music industry and he's turned to the internet to make it happen.

Jon, who is a radio personality on 5FM and former lead singer of Cassette, was obviously inspired by all those awesome behind-the-scenes rock music films and wants to make a South African version.

To finance the film, Mr.Savage has turned to internet crowd funding platform , Indiegogo, but has teased perspective funders with a hilarious trailer starring local musicians and celebs; Rob Van Vurren as the bass guitarist of the band, Jack Parow, , Fokofpolisiekar, Die Heuwels Fantasties, Aking, Chris Chameleon, Blk Jks , The Parlotones and even Randall Abrahams!

Jon himself will star as the lead singer of the fictious band, Stone Cold Jane Austen.
