K.O: "I had no idea Caracara would be a hit"

Without a doubt, 2014 will be remembered as the year K.O pulled up in his Caravelle and took our parties to the next level with his hit song, Caracara.

One half of Teargas, K.O, tells The Juice he always knew Carracarra would be a hit

“When we first made the song I kind of knew that the song would resonate with the people. That it would do well. But in terms of how far it would go or how big I had no idea”.

He says his goal for the track was, like every song he records, to please his fans but even he was surprised when it started to resonate with everyone and not just his fans.

“I thought it would be one of those songs that people would talk about for a while and then disappear. But for it to be neck on neck with some of the biggest songs in the country, especially house songs, it was a great achievement for me and not only for me but for South African hip hop. It’s an honour! It’s humbling!" he says.
