K.O: "I owe my success to Slikour"

He may have been voted the Hottest MC in Mzansi this year, but K.O says he would be nothing without Slikour.

When The Juice sat down to chat with K.O recently, the hip hop legend told us he never would have got his big break if it wasn't for Slikour, who helped him out when he first arrived in Jo'burg.

'I thought Jo'burg was exciting and when I started performing here, I thought for sure the people were going to love me and take me in... but they didn't," he says. "It was a struggle for me out here and to get people to believe in me and my music was hard", he says.

He recounts the moment it all started to change for him - at a Skwatta Kamp Show. "I remember when I first started to try and get into rap circles and people wouldn’t give me the time of day. I only really got my break when Slikour took a chance on me and offered me a spot opening for Skwatta Kamp at one of their shows. It all started then!".
