Even though it's a new year, it seems like some people just aren't ready to let go of the past.
Kelly Khumalo was reportedly booed by party-goers when she got up onto stage to perform her hit single Asine, at the Can Do! New Years Eve bash.
City Press is reporting that two industry sources, who witnessed the incident told them that when Kelly and her dancers walked onto stage they were received by booing and jeering.
Kelly's hit single, Asine is a Tshivenda song written by her producer, Chico Twala. The song is about a woman, who is accused of killing her husband.
Apparently the negative reaction did not stop Kelly from putting on a brave face and a spectacular performance.
Another source told the paper that maybe Kelly should stop singing the song until her boyfriend Senzo Meyiwa's killers are brought to book. "As much as we understand that she has to provide for her two children, people are still angry," added the source.
How silly!
