Kelly Khumalo accepts apology over 'racism' claims

Johannesburg- Earlier this week Kelly Khumalo levelled claims of racism against a restaurant in the Free State.

Kelly took to Instagram where she described how she felt like racism was still alive in our country, and felt like "people of colour were not welcome at the restaurant." (Read that story here)

The restaurant has publicly apologised to Kelly K, and claims that it was all just a "misunderstanding."

A representative from the restaurant sent Kelly the letter on Instagram, explaining the reason why she would have felt some awkwardness from the owner was because the staff were taking photos with Kelly, instead of helping out the kitchen staff, during a very busy time.

"We at The Cabin would like to apologise but also ask that you take down this comment because it is out of context! We have very good relationships with our staff and clients no matter what the colour of their skin," reads the letter.

Kelly has since posted the letter on Instagram and has stated that she has accepted the restaurant's apology.

"It is really time to move on and represent the Rainbow Nation that we are," she wrote.
