Kelly Khumalo breaks her silence

Kelly Khumalo has finally broken her silence after Senzo Meyiwa's death.

The Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana captain and goalkeeper was murdered at Kelly's home in Vosloorus, east of Johannesburg on Sunday evening.

In a statement, the singer sent her condolences to Senzo's family. The statement read: "Kelly Khumalo and her family would like to express their sincere condolences to the Meyiwa family for the loss of Senzo Meyiwa, who was tragically shot at their family home in Vosloorus, in the presence of Kelly's family [her mother Ntombi, sister Zandi, and son Christian] Tumelo and Mthoko [Senzo's friends] and Longwe Twala."

The statement continued,"This has been an incredibly traumatic experience for the Khumalo family. As the law takes its course, they request that they be given space and privacy to deal with this tragedy; and they thank you for the prayers and support."

While Kelly and her family have requested for privacy, the police are still investigating Senzo's death. No arrests have been made yet.
