Kelly Khumalo's assault charges dropped

The songbird will no doubt be popping the champers!  This is because the assault charges against Kelly  and her sister Zandi Khumalo have been dropped.

This is according to Drum magazine who learnt that the court dropped the charges after the siblings attended a diversion programme.

Senzo Meyiwa's estranged wife Mandisa  opened the case after Kelly and Zandi allegedly damaged the side mirror of her BMW a year ago.

Kelly told the mag that she was happy that the case was over. "I'm so happy about it. There was no case to begin with," she said.

Hillbrow police spokesman Sergeant Mduduzi Zondo explained to the mag that Kelly and her sister did arrive in court on 22 August, but were late and the warrant of arrest was already issued. "When they came back three days later, the court cancelled it and they were set free," he added.

Kelly's glad that her legal troubles are over and will be focusing on her career.
