Khuli Chana sues Police Minister for R2,3 million

Khuli Chana is suing Police Minister Nathi Nhleko for R2,3 million. According to The Star, Khuli wants the minister to pay for the emotional trauma and suffering he's facing after being shot by police last year.

The rapper was shot at after he failed to stop at a road block in Midrand in October last year.  The officers mistook him for a suspect they were pursuing in a kidnapping case. The Star is reporting that Khuli's first claim us R1 565 827,80 for the shooting, which has apparently left him with permanent scarring and disfigurement, emotional trauma, psychological stress and shock, future medical expenses and future loss of earning capacity. 

In the second claim, the rapper reportedly wants the minister to pay R516 638.83 for claiming that he tried to kill the police with his car. According to the paper, the minister's spokesperson Musa Zondi could not say whether he would defend the lawsuit as he hadn't seen the papers. The papers were reportedly filed on Monday.
