Koyo Bala opens up about his battle with Cancer

Johannesburg - Koyo Bala is not about to give up without a fight!

The musician and activist, who has previously fought off life threatening TB, was recently diagnosed with Cancer.

Talking to Daily Sun, Koyo says the last few months have been spent fighting a silent struggle, and he's determined to not give up!

“Two years ago I was diagnosed with anal Cancer and I took all the necessary steps to fight it. But now another form of Cancer has been detected in my system,” Koyo says.

Koyo says the Cancer has since spread to his bladder and his colon and is leaving him in crippling pain.

The star, who has moved back home for support, has been working on an autobiography and new music. But he had to delay the projects to allow himself to recover from aggressive chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

"I was told I must take six months off my schedule to get better. It is going to be a difficult few months, but I know I can beat this cancer," he says.
