Kwaito star Thabiso Mabidikama allegedly attacked by thugs

Johannesburg - Thabiso Mabidikama is recovering after he was reportedly beaten-up, by a group of men over the weekend in Pretoria.

According to Daily Sun, the kwaito artist was on his way, with a friend (DJ Makekae), and a dancer to get something to eat, before a performance at the Tshwane University of Technology Soshanguve campus, when the incident happened.

"We were approached by three men and two others went to the car. They just started assaulting us out of nowhere," he told the paper.

"Makekae managed to get away and ran to the car to fight off a man trying to steal it. He overpowered the thug and drove away," he added.

The remaining men were allegedly angered by this, and as a result, carried on beating him.

"For more than 45 minutes, they took turns hitting me. One of them even suggested shooting me," he said, before claiming that bystanders just stood and watched the scene.

This carried on until the attackers got tired, giving him the chance to escape. He passed out at a nearby house for a bit, and headed to a local garage where Makekae was waiting for him.

He also told the paper that he did not go to the police, because apart from not wanting any drama, he does not know the attackers, and therefore they would not be able to do anything.
