LISTEN: How rapper Zakwe let his fans down

Johannesburg - Rapper Zakwe feels he's let down his fans in so many ways and so he decided to write a song about it.

Zakwe has been out of the game for a while, but he's back with a new album and a song called: Let My Fans Down.  In it he explains not only his absence but also why he feels he has let his fans down.

In the song Zakwe says he is sorry he was not prominent in rap's progress over the last few years and apologises to fans for making them wait for new music.

He says the wait has caused his fans to fall to propaganda from other rappers who lack substance.

And although he's grateful to Afrotainment for standing with him in hard times, he calls out producers for letting him down in his hour of need:

"Yeah, I let my fans down, though this is all about me.  Partially producers whom we make hits with.I feel like yall should have done more, for brand that we built. Yall never gave me dope beats, ngaphandle mangiwacelile," he raps.

He also talks openly about claims that Duncan has replaced him.

It's one of the most honest songs we've heard in SA hip hop for some time.
