Lerato Ngubane: "Menzi had arousal problems"

Just days after news of their divorce shocked fans, Menzi Ngubane's wife has revealed more secrets.

Lerato Ngubane broke her silence in an interview with Drum magazine. A clearly broken Lerato told the mag how her marriage crumbled, about Menzi's arousal problems and how he had secretly went off to become a sangoma.

Although Lerato made it crystal clear that she didn't want to trash Menzi but wanted to tell her side of the story.

"I did my best to save my marriage, even though there was not as much love-making as I would have liked. I realised when we started dating that Menzi had arousal problems, and I did all I could to assist him in finding medical help," she explained.

She claims that he wasn't honest about his problems from the start and wouldn't even discuss the matter. According to Lerato, things took a turn for the worse when he was diagnosed with organ failure and that even though their marriage wasn't just about sex or money, there needs to be a balance.

Lerato said that she hoped that things would get better one day and that's why she stayed. However, she was shocked when Menzi filed for divorce, which was finalised in May this year.

Even though Menzi denied earlier this year that he was training to be a sangoma, Lerato found traditional medicine in the house one day and close friends told her that he was training to be a sangoma.

"I was confused and disturbed that for all these years I was staying with someone who used muthi behind my back," she added.

Even though they're no longer together Lerato says she cherishes the moments they had together and described Menzi as a "generous person who was full of surprises."

Menzi could not be reached for comment.
