Johannesburg- Former Big Brother Mzansi contestant, Lexi van Niekerk has got another notch to add to her growing TV career.
Lexi will reportedly be hosting DSTV's new entertainment show, The Weekend Hangout.
During her time at Big Brother, Lexi found herself making headlines for the 'shower scene', which saw the beginning of a whirlwind romance between herself and Mandla.
When Mandla went on to win the reality show, taking home R1million, Lexi once again became a topic for headlines where she was widely labelled a "gold digger" by people on social media.
"I'm not a gold digger. I concentrated on working hard. I hustled and it finally paid off," Lexi told Sunday Sun.
Lexi added that even though she was rejected on numerous occasions, she never gave up.
"What's great for me is that I'm not trying to prove anything to anyone. All I care about is making a success of what I'm doing. I'm so proud of this show," Lexi added.
